Compost Top Dressing & Overseeding

Compost Top Dressing & Overseeding

This type of treatment is used to give your lawn a ‘boost’ by assisting in core-aeration and preventing thatch.  It is best used on grass that is thinning or patchy, but not so damaged that it needs re-sodding.  It is usually done in early Spring or Fall to assist in new growth.

Core Aerating

Core Aerating

By perforating the lawns soil with small holes, the water and air are able to better reach the grass roots to provide better nutrition, hydration, and aeration.  This also helps to reduce soil compaction.  The roots are then able to grow more deeply and produce a fuller and stronger lawn.

De-Thatching

De-Thatching

Thatch is a thick, often brown, underbrush that grows between the the soil and and blades of grass.  Removing, or de-thatching, involves ‘combing’ or cutting out the thatch in order to improve the overall look, feel, and health of your lawn. De-thatching also improves your lawns’ ability to thrive.

Weed Management

Weed Management

A full and thick lawn is simply the best way to avoid weeds - there simply isn't anywhere for the weed to grow. However, even the thickest lawn will still manage to get a weed or two and the thing is, they can spread VERY quickly if not removed and disposed of properly.
